American actress Megan Fox has revealed her dream role. “I don’t want people to protest this, but I would like to be Sarah Rainmaker in Gen 13 if they ever made that into a movie,” Fox News quoted the actress as saying at the premiere of her new film Jonah Hex.

Rainmaker is a fictional superhero from the Gen 13 comic series who has the superpowers of altering the weather and the movement of water with her thoughts. She also has a natural aptitude for combat tactics.

The usually peace-seeking activist was revealed as a lesbian in the second issue of the ongoing series. But despite the character’s fair complexion and light eyes, Fox is sure that physically transforming into Rainmaker is not such a tough job.

“She’s a Native American and I have a little bit of that blood in me. It would be a bit of a stretch-but if Jake Gyllenhaal can be the Prince of Persia, I think that I can do that,” Fox

Lindsay Lohan’s close friends are seriously worried about the actress, as they believe she won’t survive a single day in jail without cigarettes.

LiLo is likely to serve in the same all-female facility cell where Paris Hilton was sent in 2007 – the place with a serious zero tolerance no-smoking policy. One of the ‘Mean Girl’ star’s close friends revealed, the jail-bound actress is a “serious chain-smoker” who blows through at least two packs a day.

The source added: “I’m honestly scared for [Lindsay] … I don’t think she’s gone a day without smoking in years. This isn’t something she can stop overnight. It’s a serious condition.”

Hollywood actresses Demi Moore and Nia Vardalos, star of “My Big Fat Greek Wedding,” helped police on Friday thwart a possible suicide attempt after being alerted to it through Twitter.

Moore and Vardalos were instrumental in rushing police to the home of an 18-year-old Florida man who had written a message on Twitter saying he had “messed up my life bad” and was “thinking about killing myself.”

The suicidal man, who is not being identified by AFP, wrote a message addressed to Moore’s Twitter account saying he was “about to go hang myself from a tree outside my house and end my life.”

“I have no reason to live anymore,” the man wrote, adding “I am going to send a live feed of me hanging myself. No one cares if I die or not.”

Moore, who is married to actor Ashton Kutcher and goes by @mrskutcher on Twitter, wrote the man back asking if he needed help. He responded “yes.”

Vardalos, who saw the exchange on Moore’s public Twitter feed, called a suicide prevention center in Los Angeles which contacted the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office.

The police officer who arrived at the young man’s home in Casselberry, Florida, around 2:30 am said in his report that he found him “sitting at his computer desk crying.”

His mother told the officer her son was “very emotional and diagnosed with obsessive compulsive disorder.”

The police officer said the man admitted posting the suicide threats on Twitter and that he “did not know what he would do to himself without help.”

He was placed in protective custody.

Moore posted a message on her Twitter account on Friday saying “Thank you Twitterverse for your help supporting someone in pain last night.”

Varalos acknowledged on her Twitter feed @niavaralos that she had helped the authorities reach the suicidal man.

“I called suicide line, connected to (Florida) police, gave his name+city, they saved him,” she wrote.

She added that she was a “little shaken” but “want to say thank u Twitter for caring about a stranger in (Florida) last night.”

It was the second time in less than a year that Moore was involved in preventing a possible suicide.

In April of last year, Moore reported a suicide threat to police in San Jose after a woman wrote on her Twitter account that she was going to harm herself.

Canadian director James Cameron and Fox movie studio are considering a re-release of their 3-D blockbuster Avatar which would include additional scenes.

Plans appear to be in the works to inject about 10 to 12 additional minutes to the 160-minute long sci-fi feature. The Hollywood Reporter says the new version may be released in the late summer.

New scenes might include a party scene involving the alien Na’vi village and more scenes where the main character, played by Sam Worthington, is trying to prove his mettle with the Na’vis of Pandora.

The movie, which has already broken box office records and raked in more than $2.6 billion US worldwide, would see a re-release on IMAX and digital screens.

More than 80 per cent of Avatar ‘s domestic business has been in 3-D theaters, which represented fewer than half its runs.

Reports of a re-release first surfaced on Thursday when Imax CEO Richard Gelfond spoke at an investor conference in New York City predicting a late summer/fall release. Gelfond mentioned that Cameron had about 40 minutes of material that didn’t make the theatrical cut.

Then Cameron himself told USA Today on Friday that he’s talking to the studio about a re-release, “something creative,” which would come out at the end of year, though it’s not confirmed yet.

The director says theatre owners believe they lost “a couple of hundred million dollars” in total when Avatar was ousted from their 3-D screens by Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland, which is also a 3-D movie.
